Yes, I've talked to him recently.  He said the hurricanes have missed, except for the rain.  The boat is in dry dock, so it's safe, and he has concrete walls in case one takes a better hit.  I'm sure he would appreciate your concern.  PM him.  I'm sure he'll appreciate it. 

 I had a PM from him last week.  He's been posting some yummy recipes on the recipe forum also.  Check them out if you haven't already.
