Pool Exercises from Somer
As many of you know, I love the water and try to swim at least 3-4 times a week. I've had to curtail my lap swimming due to knee problems. Anyway, Somer gave me some H20 exercises to do while my knees are healing. I get to H2O walk, march, front kick, back kick, side kick, jumping jacks in the deep H2o, and all kinds of wonderful stuff. A lady came over to see what I was doing and I ended up showing her. This forced me to mind my posture and form, which is a good thing. Also, when I water walk, I go from the shallow end to the deep end and back several times. Tonight, I was faster than the 80 YO man in the Speedo. I was also faster than the middle aged man using a kick board. I'm actually jealous of him because I can't go anywhere with a kick board unless I have fins on. Anyway, I had a good time tonight.

That's wonderful, Donna. You must be very proud of yourself. Water exercises are wonderful and so good for you. I love the feeling of weightlessness. Keep up the good work.

I love water workouts! alot of times I will go to the pool and walk back and forth from one side to the other. I am able walk in the water without my back hurting. then i will do some stretches and bends.. i can work out in the water for hours and it doesnt seem like I am doing it. well when I get out and realize how tired i am makes me realize how much i did do.
