Water, water, everywhere...
Wow - there seems to be no end to it! I am praising God today for sparing our house, property, friends, family, neighbors, church members and pets! There are in excess of 2 million residents without power. Even though the hurricane has passed, millions can not return home due to impassable roads, downed power lines and destruction. There are scores of huge old oak and pine trees just laying around everywhere. The rain has not let up for over 24 hours now and is forecasted to continue for a couple more days. I want to thank everyone for the prayers for my safety in travelling back to Louisiana from OKC. A couple of times it got kinda hairy but all is well! The hospital where I work is a regional command center for hurricane victims, so needless to say, we have been quite busy.
The best news is that I have finally finished and passed all the pre-op requirements. YEA!! So I am one giant step closer to the bench.

I praise God with you, for protection and favor. I will continue to pray. Take care of yourself, and try not to get too tired. I'm excited about your surgery. I'm sure it will be soon.
Blessings,
Mary
