Initial Visit

Is any one familiar with Dr Gorospe in Owasso?  I am having my initial visit next week and was curious.  Thanks.

What would you like to know dear?  You will fill out a questionaire, then when called you will have a picture taken, be weighed, then have vitals done by one of his nurses.  He will then come in and go over the surgery with you and answer any questions you may have and spend as much time as you need.  he will also help you set some realistic goals for your goal weight.  He has a very warm and relaxed demeanor and the nurses are so sweet.  Tell Shantel (hope I spelled that right hun I know you will be lurking on here lol) the receptionist that you know Dan from the OH boards, she is one of my angels up there.  If you have any other questions feel free to post them here or send me a private message.  I hope you have a great visit with them, they are truly an amazing group.

Thanks for the information.  I had been working with Weight wise in OKC but after a year of trying to schedule surgey, my insurance ended up denying me because they were out of network.  Very frustrating!  Why couldn't the insurance have told me that from the beginning?  Anyway,  after almost a year of feeling sorry for myself I've decided to pick up the ball and start again.  This time around it's gonna be different!  I have already talked with my insurance to make sure the Dr and the hospital are both in network and are providers.  A yes to both.  I have already met my deductible for this year so hoping I will get final approval and scheduled before the end of December!  Thanks for listening.

That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard!  They can't deny you if they are out of network!!  You should be able to choose who you want.  If they are out of network it is just more that you have to pay!  (**but not really at WW because they ony charge you IN Network prices**)  That's crazy what they did to you though! 

I don't blame you for being mad!  What a waste of your time! 

You will like Dr. G.  You are in good hands!  He has done MANY MANY WLS surgeries!
