My neck is healed...surgery is tomorrow 09/03

Well I made it through another 4 days of liquids which really means I have done eight days total. LOL  It has been a rough week or so for me and my son Josh.  He is 11 and wants so badly for me to have this surgery, he is very excited!  However, he doesn't understand the emotional rollercoaster that I have been on for the last month or so.  After learning that my surgery would be postponed for a week, it was like starting over again...very emotional for me.  So needless to say I have not been emotionally available to my family or anyone else for the last week or so.

I did talk with him last night and apologized for not being there for him letely.  And I reminded him that he will not believe what a new mom he will have in a very short period of time.  I told him all of this would be worth it, which of course I was saying to myself as well.  Even though I haven't posted recently, I have been on getting my daily dose of you wonderful people.  Love to hear all the great stories, WOW moments and even the not so great stories so I can be prepared if need be.  Well thank you all again for listening and looks like tomorrow is MY day.  I will not have anyway to post until I get home which will probably be on Friday evening.  Luv you guys a lot for everything!!!

Good luck tomorrow!  You are right in that you will be a new person in a very short time.  It's amazing how this new tool of our's works.  You will have so much more energy to do things with Josh and participate in his life!!  You'll have a few more emotional roller coasters but after your 2 weeks of fluids it'll all be good.  I personally had a little "buyer's remorse" and wondered what in the heck I had done but that didn't last very long at all.  That was during my liquid stage too and during the healing process.  We do have to go through a little "detachment" from our food addiction.  It's ALL SO WORTH IT!  I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat!!!  Life is good and my new tool is AWESOME.  We've got your spot on the "loosers bench" ready for you...

HE WILL BE SO PROUD OF YOU WHEN IT IS BEHIND YOU AND YOU START TO LOSE THE WEIGHT. MY SON HAS TOLD ALL HIS FRIENDS AND THEY ASK ABOUT ME OFTEN TO SEE HOW MUCH I HAVE LOST. YOU ARE IN FOR THE RIDE OF YOUR LIFE AND IT IS ALL WORTH IT. THERE WILL BE TIMES WHEN YOU WILL THINK OMG WHAT DID I DO BUT THEN YOU WILL SEE THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WAY YOUR CLOTHES FIT AND THE WAY YOU FEEL AND THEN YOU WILL REALIZE THAT IT WAS ALL WORTH IT. GOOD LUCK AND WE ANXIOUSLY AWAIT YOUR POST ON FRIDAY!!

He will be happy with the changes in his mom and it will make the last few weeks worth it.  I have two teenage boys and they love their new and healthy mom.  Everything will go fine tomorrow and you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for the kind words of encouragement.  I know this will be the best thing I have ever done for myself...my life.  I just want to be sitting on that cushy bench next to all of you!  Soon...  then I will finally be able to see my ticker move...ahhhh how nice!  By the way I read a post earlier about someone throwing up and they mentioned a "Netti" can someone please tell me what this is???

Congratulations on starting your new healthy journey. The liquids are tough, but worth it in the end. I'll be keeping you in my prayers for a safe and successful surgery and a speedy recovery. Blessings to you!
