being nervous is very normal. you are about to undergo a life changing moment. but it is a positive life changing moment and you will not regret it afterwards. i was very nervous up until the morning of surgery. we had to drive about 1 1/2 hrs to the hospital but i was so calm and relaxed (without drugs, too) the staff will put you at ease the moment you get there and it is all downhill from there. just remember as soon as they get you up to walk and go to the bathroom keep it up and drink a lot!! keep us posted and i know you will be fine.

Hi, Melissa, This may not work for you but try to think of this as a spa treatment that you'll feel ever so much better afterwards.  I try to convince all my friends they should look on their doctor visits/operations as this and it will go a little easier.  I don't think anyone believes me yet.  donna

Hey Donna, when are you going to put your picture on your avatar???

Melissa,
I would be worried about you if you WEREN'T nervous!!  Be glad you are taking this step toward a healthier you.  When it is all over you'll be wondering why you were so nervous!

Hang in there, you're in good hands!  I'll keep the bench warm for you!
