I uploaded before pictures

to my page for those of you who missed them in all their "glory" on Channel 9 when Melissa Maynarich shouted, "Charlotte Nance used to weigh 354 pounds!!!!" I told my son, "Geez...could you shout it louder??"

I know what you mean....but think about all the people who watched this and have probably been so inspired to do the same thing for their obesity.  I know for me it was watching channel 4 in November or so and seeing scraphappy's story about doing the sleeve surgery and thinking maybe I need to check this out since they were making this more affordable.  I have PM'd her and thanked her for her willingness to share publicly her story and follow-ups along with stories from Bob Barry as well.  I say hats off to you for those who will follow after you.  We never know who will will touch with our honesty.  I would not wish our obesity disease on my worst enemy!!!  Thanks for nominating Dr. Walton...he is truly my hero as well.

Thanks for responding. I wanted to be an inspiration, but with so much of the interview cut, I don't know if I did or not. I was so nervous..One of my friends said, "You're an 18 now? Way to go!" I said, "No, that was 8-10 she said."

Anyway, I said a lot more, but they only used that. For me, it was a no-brainer to nominate him. He saved my life! I owe him everything.

I looked at your new pics.  What an amazing difference in you!  You're daughter looks just like you Mom.  She is beautiful!!!  Way to go....We are so blessed, aren't we?

We certainly are blessed. She used to look at my baby pictures and ask me why her pictures were black and white. There's a very strong resemblance. I think I'll upload DS so you all can see him too. That way the family unit is there. 

 I saw your pics last night.  WOW!  Don't be embarrassed about them saying your weight.  Be PROUD of where you are now!  I find myself telling people all the time what I started out at.  I like the WOW factor.  Besides, it makes me proud and I hope you are of yourself too.  You look mahavelous dahling!!

  I am proud of you for telling your story on TV. Thats prob something I couldn't do.  Dr. Walton is awesome isn't he. I remember him from when he was in Enid, and I knew for sure that it was he that would be doing my surgery.  Can I ask you what the subject matter is of the book you are currently reading?  I like to read certain books but only if they are good.

Charlottte, I saw the segment on channel 9 - wow you looked great on TV! And yeah, be proud of where you started from!! That's an amazing sucess story!

boy do I know what you mean about editing!!!  When I had my interview with Channel 4 they not only said I was LOSING IT ALL, LOSING WEIGHT and LOSING FRIENDS but they cut so much out of my story that I'm not sure what they were trying to say!!  BTW, I'm not losing friends, they were looking for a story that just was not there.

People that are looking into WLS get the gist of the story and you just don't know how many people you inspired.  I still get email from people tha****ched my story and felt like they too could have a chance at getting back to the person they used to be!! 

Congrats on your victory and kuddos for your courage, boy do I know what that is all about!!
