Update from me!

OK, Since Ireally haven't had a whole lot of time to myself lately, much less for all of you guys (sorry), I figured I would update you all on how things are going in my life.

1. School has started, and I'm taking 15 hours this semester, which puts my in class until around 1 everyday.
2. I have my work study job on campus, which keeps me there until 5 everyday.
3. I have my new job at the ranch, I go out there everyday to do the chores, and basically leave when I get done, which is around 8 generally.

You may ask, what do I do at the ranch, ehere are a few examples of chores the boss has given me...

1. Hauling bricks from one side of the ranch to the other and stacking them so they wouldn't fall. I think I stacked around 500 bricks in total.
2. Grooming horses...this may not sound difficult, but they have a few horses that have this certain type of hair, that when they roll on the ground, the hair twists, and literally becomes one giant knot. The horse I was working on yesterday, his tail was one big knot of hair. Hours of standing with my arms over my head and pulling hair, with him fighting me the whole time.
3. Mucking out stalls...again, usually not hard, except when you have a stud that likes to be right next to you the whole time, things get a little interesting. This would involve lifting 20 pound forkfulls of horse poo to shoulder level to dump them into the bucket, then when the bucket gets full, lifting that over my head to dump it into the trailer that eventually hauls all the poo out to the pasture for fertilizing.
4. Catching horses for lessons...Easy as pie when the horse wants to be caught...Hard as H#*% when they don't want to be caught. The pastures where they are kept are around 5 to 10 acres each, that's a lot of running to do.

Did I mention I wouldn't rather be doing anything else? I absolutely love it out at the barn, my boss is great, and she is super excited to have me out there helping her. I only wish I didn't have to go to school so I could be out there all the time. *Sigh* Oh well

Then after I get done at the barn, I get to find something to eat and take a shower, thank God neither one takes much time anymore. Relax for about an hour, then go to bed and do it all over again the next day. Fun Fun Fun!

Wow, I think I need to find a job like yours....then I wouldn't have to worry about finding time to exercise.  It sounds like you stay pretty active....that's great!

I always say it's good to be busy.  You're getting in some great exercise and working muscles that don't get attention in a gym.  I'm inspired!!  Way to go girl!!
