Spinal injection tomorrow
Not something I've never experienced before, but definitely not pleasant experiences... I've been having these for degenerative disk disease in my neck for the past 3 years. I can tell you that this is the first one in 8 months (the last time I had 3 in 6 mos), so I know my WLS and dropping 80 pounds has been beneficial, even to my neck! Please remember me in your prayers.
Wendy, I'll definitely be keeping you in my prayers. My husband has had multiple spinal injections and I've had 3. Hubby's were much more complex than mine and done at odd angles after his fusion surgery. Even with that, he said they were not bad. They will give you a skin numbing injection before they begin. And, they're generally over with pretty quickly. I'm praying for you.
I will be thinking of you. I did a long series of those last summer. All in all not a big deal. In fact, I refused the Versed the pain doc usually gives his paitents through an IV because I found the IV to be much worse than the shot. My only regret during the procedure is that I couldn'****ch it being done on the fluroscope screen! I found the whole thing fascinating! And, they did help particularly with the muscle spasms
