OT: DH was converted from lap to open

I just barely have a few minutes to type this.  I came home from the hospital for a quick shower.  Randy was having the reflux sugery (fundoplication, sp??) and the doctor ended up having to convert to an open surgery.  He is was split wide open.  He is in so much pain and asked me to ask everyone I know to pray for him because anxiety is really kicking in.  He lost both his mom and dad as a young adult and is always fearful of leaving our son without a Dad.

Just a side note....I was never called to be a nurse.  You might should pray for me to have patience!!  I think there is a reason that men don't have babies!  Sorry...no offense guys.

Well, I better shower and get back up there.  We will probably be there for two more nights.  Yuck.  Those recliners are rough to sleep in but before I lost 75 lbs I don't even think I could have attempted it.

Amy, you can count on prayers from me.  I'm trusting that all will go well and that Randy has a speedy recovery!!  Hang in there.  I do know most of the men in my life (DH) are wimps when it comes to pain!!!

Amy - I am so sorry to hear this news!  I will send a little prayer for both of you and hope that he gets sprung soon and has an easy recovery.  Sounds like he's already paid his dues!  Keep us posted!
