Pics of the 2 new Sumatrans

My new project (short tail python) pictures are in the misc critters folder.  I can't really take credit for the pics or the idea or finding the snakes-just kind of walked in mid project.  Of course the goal is to get the dark body of the female (she's black black) with the peach head and white sides of the male.  It could happen, or it could not happen.  There isn't much data on how patterns are inherited in this type of snake-which is the fun part-it's all one big science experiement.

I'm driving up to Chicago to a reptile show to pick these guys up-he's an adult and the neither myself or the current owner really like shipping adults or babies if we can avoid it.  This is what makes me a hobbyist not a breeder....LOL.

I'm really excited about working with this new (to me) species.  I had some babies before the big freeze last year and they take it up a notch or two in what it takes to keep them succesfully.

Reptiles are hugely popular pets in Europe where people don't have big yards and farms like we take for granted here.

Moon and Oliver will always be my pick of your litter!  I am happy someone loves snakey babies.

Drive carefully when you go to pick up your new kids.
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

That's why I don't post pictures in the thread-I know it upsets some people.
