How many of you lovely folks are walking in Tulsa?

Since I was being a good Mommy and helping my son get his car in for service and missed the last support group meeting I have no idea how many are planning on going to Tulsa.

So, who has or will register for the Walk from Obesity? Are we going to try to get some hotel rooms and stay with each other? OOOH, a big girl slumber party! I think I am glad that the walk is only 1 1/2 miles! We may be pooped puppies!

I wasn't going to go but then Dr Keith says he will pay for the registration for the walk and the ball so I am wanting to come....only problem..I am either going to have to work or I will be either recovering from surgery or going in...URRGH hopefully this is the last one...

being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it

I don't know about the walk. When is it? I'd be interested if the timing were right. If not, I'm going to make my best friend do it.

I'm like that. I can also look at my nifty travel agent computer at work to see if I can get a discount anywhere if you need hotel rooms.

Nevermind. I just found the original post. Its 2 days after my surgery so I'm out but my BFF is going to try to get a team together and walk for me!

I have not registered yet (too many things going on) but am planning on going. Kim made a list at the meet and greet last week and we are planning on sharing a hotel room(s). I have not had a big girl slumber party in a very long time!!!

We are up to 10 or 12 of us! Dan was supposed to check in to hotel location for us but I haven't heard back. I was also trying to plan a dinner for all of the Tulsa and OKC folks but that hasn't gone too well yet.

We were talking about trying to get out of town on Friday no later than 4:00, Sept. 26. We'll come back the next day after the walk and after we do whatever it is we're gonna do!

Should be a major fun slumber party!
