OMG WTF?
Ok... I have to say it... because I know other people are like WTF?
This is week 5 post op for me and I weigh THE SAME that I did when I went to that crazy post op diet class. (which I think was a waste of my time and money because it was the SAME class I had already PAID for previously)....
Anyway, I have noticed that my clothes have gotten too big and I have drastically changed sizes... even though I still weight THE SAME.... in fact, today, I weigh a pound more! Oh well....
I still can't eat certain foods.... eggs.... ever since the first one it has been downhill....
And especially CARBS... it eat a tortilla chip or a bite of bread and within 5 minutes my blood sugar has shot thru the roof and I am in the downward spiral of feeling awful, thinking I might pass out, and of course regretting every stinkin bite.
So all in all, I guess I am going to just suck it up and rekindle the love-hate relationship with my treadmill (I love to hate it) because things just aren't moving as quickly as I would like.
On another food note, I find it quite interesting that I can only eat about 1 to 1.5 ounces of food... yet I'M STILL THE SAME WEIGHT... stupid body.....

Ok please don't think I am a bossy woman who hasn't even had the surgery yet....but.......... I do believe that both tortilia chips and bread are on the NO NO list of Dr. Walton! We who are diabetic must rethink our whole eating process and especially if you are carb sensitive as I am and obviously you are also. So......No Bread, no rice, no pasta, no soft drinks...even sugar free....
Get back to that thinking and I do believe it will help move the scales....Also most on here have had these types of stalls so hang in there!! You can not eat what they are telling you and so few calories and still not lose weight. Write down everything you eat and see your intake....the scales will move eventually. Sherry

Yup, it's a stall and it happens to most of us. Your body is just adjusting the all the changes and is convinced you are starving it. I promise that the scales will move again.
You must avoid carbs though! I don't mean to sound bossy either but you cannot eat bread, pasta, rice or any other refined carbs. Your body metabolizes them very quickly and it leaves you hungry so it kicks off a vicious cycle. I know that carbs taste great and are hard to avoid but for me, I just have to avoid them completely to avoid the cravings.
I remember that Walton said in my initial seminar that if we were not willing to exercise then we shouldn't have the surgery. Yikes! So I try but it is hard because I hate it too! I hate to sweat!
Anyway, hang in there and you will lose the weight. Just follow the rules of the surgery and you will do great!

First and foremost, we burn fat and induce weightloss through ketosis. So if you're even cheating a little bit by eating a bite of rice, corn product, wheat, flour, etc Start by drinking more fluids, eat a zero carb diet, if you want help, I have detailed meal-plans. Learn to love the green beans....zero or near zero carbs, low to no fat, and they only have 20 calories per serving so eat all you want.
Everytime I hear about someone stalling I ask them if they want help, if they do I give them what has always worked for me and everyone who has taken it seriously has broken the stall in under 2 weeks. These ladies before me are right on the money....no more feeding the cravings...kill your food lust and get serious with your new body. You made the committment to have the surgery and if you don't want to be right back where you started, you shouldn't be thinking about or eating or even smelling carbs. it's your choice....empower yourself and when you're weak, please feel free to let me ***** at you until you're angry enough to not touch a carb anymore. I've got nothing but love fo people who are struggling....so feel free to lean on me...

WTF???? Tortilla chip.....a bite of bread......You did not attend the same diet class that I did. Weight Wise says no bread, rice or pasta ever ever ever!!!!!!! Especially at 5 weeks out. If you got that out of the diet class, then you did waste your time and money. I apologize if you think I am being harsh, but you cannot continue with the carbs and not expect to stall. I will be happy to help you in any way that I can. Please follow the plan and you will see much better results. Best of luck to you, Rita
