Boiling eggs???

I've never even heard of an egg rock.  What the heck is it and what is it made out of?

It's clear acrylic or something like it-shaped like half an egg (flat on on side)....you put it in the pan with your eggs and it has some kind of magical indicator on it to tell you when the eggs are soft boiled then hard boiled.
