the mystery of wls..
I just glanced at a post about a stall or a plateau...sorry folks I didnt read all of it.
When our bodies start to lose weight sooner or later the bod says we are closing shop till we get caught up with what has happened. And then BAM the weight starts coming off again. If you are only a few weeks or a month post op the body is just catching up with what is happening. You might not be losing pounds but you are gaining muscle and muscle weighs more then fat.
As for a plateau that happens months into your journey when you have lost alot of weight and the body is adjusting to the new you. To kick the loss back into gear up your protein and water intake. Change the exercise routine. ANd please folks quit weighting your self everyday..Pick one a day a week and weigh....
I am one of the few folks that never weigh myself weekly or monthly...I see no point in it...I dont want to be a slave to scale...and freak out if its not moving.
Good luck to everyone!

Thanks for the encouragement. I actually resisting weighing for a month but in the end decided for me that I need to weigh once or twice each week. I think for me I need to know what is going on with my body instead of having a shock at the end of the month when I find out I didn't lose near as much as I felt like I did. But, you are right, weighing every day can be harmful to your mind if you let it.
