Thanks Anna, I am doing much better now.  I really did read all the comments several times and I know that everyone was right.  This is not a diet or a race.   This is the rest of my life.  I think I am using the diet mentality of "I have to lose as fast as I can before I fall off the wagon" or something.  I'm determined and even if I turn out to be a slow loser, i don't care.  I am in the for the rest of my life!!!

Yes, goofy, you have to build muscle to burn fat! It sucks too! I have a membership at Aspen off Rockwell and I need to go dog paddle in the pool more often. It's usually empty which is nice! My daughter who is a personal trainer has shown me how to do the weights and how to rotate them so it freaks the muscles out and burn. She is now starting back doing that since she had the baby so she is also back and getting on my back about exercising....I know it's before but I should begin getting back in the habit of going there...Right now I just do my glider. Amy, you really are doing great and your picture is beautiful!!!  I wish I was at your point *****ing at a stall, but my time will come and I will be posting it I'm sure. I still think if you wrote down all you eat, you would see that there is no way this is NOT going to work!!! I know what it's like to be heavy but not how to cope with surgery, so my advice is general but still usable!! Take care girlfriend!!

Hey Sherry!  I feel much better today.  I guess I really was feeling sorry for myself and when I think about you and my sister and all the hoops you are going through just to get to your surgery, well, I should feel happy and blessed to have lost what I have.  I do post everything I eat at least a few days a week on thedailyplate.com and that helps me see how few calories I really am getting.  Mathmatically this has to work!

Well if I had read this I wouldn't have had to send you a PM asking how you were.  I'm glad you have perked up today.

For what it's worth - I think you are doing an AMAZING job.  You really can notice all the changes with you right away.  You are more than welcome to weigh with me on Wednesdays.  I weigh once a week, every Wednesday morning - "nekkid" as the day I was born (want the LOWEST weight possible - okay, I'm a sick puppy too), but I do it every Wednesday morning and that's it.  It's kind of a relaxing ritual for me.  Plus I don't have to worry about day to day fluctuations - is it up?  Is it down?  Etc.  Just a thought, but know that if you need a weigh day buddy - I can help!

Okay, I can't promise I can do it only once a week from now on but I do promise not to weigh again until this Wednesday and then go from there!  Thanks! -Amy

so glad to hear that you are feeling better. we have all been there!! i am there now because i have been used to losing at least 4 lbs a week and only lost 1/2 this week. my next weigh in is tomorrow so i hope it moves. i don't weigh every day because it was driving me insane so i started weighing sundays and wednesdays. good luck and don't forget....you will start to lose more again. at least that is what i'm telling myself!
