yeah, I don't remember if I posted this or not...  but Dr. B was going to let me go home yesterday but because I live so far away, I stayed another night.  I don't remember my discharge time, but I'm home now.

I drank 20 oz of propel on my way home (2 1/2 hours)  Now I have a regular water sitting next to me.

I'm feeling pretty well.  I don't plan on taking any of the lortab.  that stuff is nastier than the pain is!  lol

As for that breathing machine...  ugh.  I hate that thing.  I'll probably use it a couple of times today and tomorrow, then I'll throw that thing out the window with as much energy as I can strum up!  lol

Thanks to all of you for your prayers, well wishes, and support as I've gone through the pre-op struggles and now my surgery and recovery!

I love ya all!  those of you who go to the wW support group meetings, I can't wait to see you again (I;ll be at the Aug 21 meeting) and to those of you who go to the tulsa eats I will see ya all there too!

I am glad you made it home safe and that you're doing so well after your WLS~  Sounds like you're being a trooper with those pain meds!   Hope you have a very speedy recovery!

Good for you!  Sounds like all went well for you.  I couldn't do the liquid lortab either.  If you read on the bottle it clearly said do not take on an empty stomach...hello...fluids is all we have.  I took one dose and it left me so sick at my stomach I wouldn't take any more.  I'd rather have a little discomfort than be nauseated any old day.  I really didn't have much pain at all.  The 3rd day was the worse.  It was so worth it all though.  Take care!

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

That lortab is like taking a straight shot of tiquilla.  UGH!  ONly without the salt and lime!  ha ha

I'm using a little chewable Tylenol at night to help me sleep and roll over, but during the day I'm not taking anything.

Today is my day 3.

That breathing machine I was sent home with is inhaling like sucking on a straw.  It was hard for me before surgery and even harder now.  I just do the best I can.  I do 10 sucks on it and then a cough.

Last night I was coughing on my own though.  Boy was it painful, but my body was making me cough rather I wanted to or not.

My lungs seem clear though.  Glad for that.

Dearest Dot,

I also hated the breathing machine thingy until I learned that it was that machine that helped me heal much faster from the surgery.  i used it for about 2 weeks after my surgery, and i made a world of difference!  Rita had to force it on me at first, but afterwards, I really knew I needed that thing.  Just to lt you know, I threw it out after the 2 weeks, so no, it's not still around...hehe

miss you girl!
