I am SO there... so bad that I actually bought myself a big fat juicy chili cheese burger yesterday.

Then I was so mad that I could only eat the cheese and a little of the chili and about two bites of the hamburger patty.... GRRRRR

Hang in there... this, too, will pass.

I still have not bought a hamburger yet from anywhere.  I DID have a hamburger patty plain from IHOP one night....they kinda looked at me funny when I ordered it and then only ate about half. LOL.

I've been grilling hamburger patties and then fixing them with all the normal stuff minus the bun.  Yummy!  I don't miss the bread since I have all the other flavors.

I think you could probably come sort of close to an onion ring just by spraying some rings of onion with Pam and baking in a pretty hot oven until they get brown on the edges.  It definitely won't be the same but maybe it would work.  If you get totally desperate you could get some soy flour (or other high protein flour), coat the onion and bake.  That might give you a breading.  Play around with it.  The worst thing that can happen is you waste an onion- big deal.

I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

baked onion rings are the bomb.  I bake onion rings, squash, eggplant, whatever I can dip in egg and panko crumbs and pull out the carb control ketchup and just go to town.  Veggies have a high water content, meaning you can eat more of them than say meat.  I DO make sure to supplement my protien on veggie feast days.

I also like raw onions dipped in plain mustard.  I know, I'm a funny girl.

Basically, they are Japanese bread crumbs, but they are lighter than traditional breadcrumbs.  You get the bread taste without the heaviness of bread

You can get them at larger supermarkets,  Asian Markets and health food stores- I got mine at the Health Food Store on 74th and Penn.
