Hi, is there anyone else out there that is having surgery next Monday, Aug. 18th?  I am really excited about having my surgery, but at the same time I am a little nervous.  I can't wait to get this part of my life started.

Rosie, it is normal to be nervous!  It would be weird if you weren't a little nervous!  You will be so happy you had WLS.  Your life will change for the better in ways you never imagined. You are having surgery in a wonderful facility with a topnotch surgeon!
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

Well, I know this isn't the same but my husband is having reflux surgery that same day!  I was excited and nervouos at the same time for my sleeve surgery so I know exactly what you are feeling.  Just keep moving ahead and soon this will all be a distant memory and you will be on your way down the road on this exciting journey!  I have so much more energy now than I ever did before!

Nervous is good!  It means your brain works correctly!

All kidding aside, it's normal to be nervous.  But it will be over before you know it and you'll be sitting next to all of us on the Loser's Bench.  And the view is fine!!!

I don't know of anyone else having surgery on Monday but you can be assured that there will be others.  I know exactly what you are feeling.  You'll be fine and after the first couple of weeks when you're finished with the liquid stage you will start feeling good and getting results!!  Hang on because the ride is awesome!!!

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

YEAH FOR YOU! YOU WILL BE FINE. YOU ARE IN GOOD HANDS AND THEY WILL TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF YOU. IT IS NORMAL TO BE NERVOUS BUT ONCE THEY GET YOU IN THERE YOU WILL BE RELAXED ESPECIALLY AFTER THE MEDS KICK IN. YOU WILL GET A VERY GOOD NAP AND THEN IT IS OFF TO THE RACES WHICH MEANS WALKING THE HALLS AND DRINKING. YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY AFTER THIS SURGERY BECAUSE YOU WILL HAVE A NEW AND BETTER LIFE. I LOVE MINE!!
