I went to another post-op nutrition class on Tuesday and the main reason they frown on snacking is because they think it will interfere with hydration.  Guess they don't know that I'm snackin' and drinkin' at the same time!!  (ready, set, aim flamethrower!)

Actually, if I have a snack, I don't follow the water "rule" either.....shame on me!!!!! I think that if a snack is needed, a snack should be eaten. Because of the breakfast issue I am trying to figure out still, I eat one oz of cheese every morning, before I leave the house...then my first meal at 10:00-10:30.

I just posted below but basically I don't always eat the snack but I want to know I have planned for a healthy one so that I am not tempted by something stupid like ritz crackers. Like this afternoon I never ate my cheese stick, I just didn't need it. They don't know how talented I am at eating and getting my 64 oz in!!  I do wait the hour each time after I eat, but drink alot in the hours I am drinking.  Thank goodness I can drink more normally now.

Drinking does get easier.  I'm still not anywhere near how I was pre-op and may never get there but I can stay hydrated.

I'm with you!  I always have a mozzarella stick squirreled away "just in case".  I also like to keep beef jerky.

I'm wondering why you're doing yogurt for breakfast?  Does it have enough protein and does it keep you satisfied for a long time?  Seems like it would slide on through!

Someone on the VSG board said that the activia yogurt kept things moving.  I am having issues so I thought I would try eating the yogurt for a week for breakfast.  It only has 5 grams protien but the hot chocolate I drink has 15 grams of protien.  Basically today I ended up eating the yogurt AND the almonds for breakfast because you are right the yogurt goes right through.

24oz water
protien bar
24 oz decaf w cream
3 shrimp and spaghetti squash (thank God it's finally gone!!)
1 small piece cake ( I know, I know)
24 oz crystal light
24 oz crystal light tea
left over chicken fajitas, with onions, peppers, beans and guac -- (leftovers from last night that I'll be eating for days !!!!!)

On the snack thing, I was wondering about that because my NUT told me NO SNACKS -- three meals only.  I'm glad I didn't get in the habit, because I would have a hard time stopping after I got that started !!!
