Weight Weight Go Away...Come Back ...NEVER
DAMN THOSE STALLS!!!! I have a couple of suggestions, too, but sometimes it just takes time. I track my food and exercise on sparkpeople.com. It is totally free. You can have them tell you how much protien, carbs, iron, -- whatever you need to monitor. Also, at Academy they have a recumbent bike for about $120. I set that thing in front of the television and watch whatever I want. (It really makes you feel lazy watching the Olympics on the sofa.) True, after you've done it for a few months you do have to get faster, but I can exercise whenever I want!! (I also have a treadmill in the garage.) You might also check local resellers of fitness equipment. A friend of mine just found a elliptical/recumbent bike for $100 (darn, that would be cool!) PATIENCE, my friend. You'll get there :)
Dan, maybe it is Gods way of letting your skin catch up to your loss. Who know's? Count your calories and see how many you are consuming a day. That will tell you something about what is going on. You have lost so much....I wouldn't worry at all....Everyone who has posted on here that they were in a stall.....came back to post a few days later that the stall was over!! I am praying that in a few days you will do the same!
I have a glider that I paid $99 for, that sits in my living room. I get on there and ride like the wind while watching Big Brother! I don't allow myself to get off to rest for 30 min. I may get on or off of it during the day and glide for 10 min or 5 but I do use it! I literally hate exercising!! I just can't like it for some reason...I guess I'm lazy in that area, but I know I have to do this to get my surgery!! You could prop a book up on one and read or study. Give your body a break a bit longer, then know you have to kick start it again. You are doing awsome!!! Hang in there. Sherry

No ass chewing from me....*SLAP*...a whack upside yer noggin, but no chawin' on ye old buttocks..
Exercise aside..you mention you eat your cheese everyday, pasta, not so much, blah blah blah...how is your TOTAL protein and carb intake? Many times, esp with us RNY folks, our set in stone routine is what kills us. Vary your diet. Up your protein. Even if your eyeballs are floating, drink more fluids. Change the TYPE of foods you eat...variations of what our pouchie is used to can often jump start your metabloism again. Are you drinking while you eat?
About the 5 day pouch test...you are still in your honeymoon stage, and it USUALLY isn't necessary to go to that extreme to reset yourself. On the TX board, there are always several doing the 5DPT, and people under 1 yr out are often deterred from doing it. With liquids the first 2 days, soft proteins the next, then 2 days of firmer protein, it is meant to test the size of your poucb, and if at all possible, increase restriction again. As someone only 5 or so months out, the probability that you have stertched or damaged your pouch are slim to none. Although, that being said, the 5DPT DOES seem to cut the carb demons, as you are not allowed carbs. Just my 2 cents...

Stalls are normal. Your body is adjusting itself. I have been stalled for a month now. The longest so far, but then again, I a getting close to goal, so it is much slower coming off. I have upped my protein by doing the protein drinks again, trying to get my real hair to come back in. So I am more concentrated on that right now. I don't walk as much either, so I have started doing some weight training for my arms to get strength back. I am sure both of us will be loosing again real soon. Just hang in there.
