So for some not-so-clear reason I decided to go to law school. It is currently kicking my butt. I need some ideas for "dinner" on the go. I work all day and do not go home between work and school. I am still on the mushy crap for a week and am about chicken and cheesed out. Any ideas? It seems so limited when you think about it.... but I need to survive one more week before I can go for the good stuff......

One of my favorite quick meals is one of HappyCat's.  I use a FF tortilla as my "pizza crust" and put the pizza sauce on top with lots of turkey pepperonis and then top it with mazzarello and other cheeses.  I bake this at 400 until the cheese is all bubbly.  Once in a while I will eat a bit or two of the "crust" but usually just eat the toppings.  I have also added veggies to it but if I'm in a hurry I don't.  It's something different with a very familiar tast....pizza!!

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

Well if it's a matter of time/convenience then sunflower seeds/peanuts or one of those cup o'soups could be of value to you.

who knows....

It does make it hard when you don't come home between work and school.  I'm sure you already know about refried beans from any of the Mexican places.  What about cottage cheese right before you leave from work?  (since you're still doing mushies)  What about chili from Wendy's?  I don't think that's allowed in mushies but does go down rather nicely.  Well, dang!  I wasn't much help, was I?

Can you make up a batch of tuna or chicken salad and take it with you to work and eat it on the way to school?

The vending machines at my school have Wolf chili, chicken of the sea tuna and chicken salad both, peanuts, sunflower seeds, and in the book store I can buy beef jerkey.  These things help me during lunch and break time if I need something.

I feel your pain.  I am working on my MBA (it sounded like a good idea when I started!) and have class every Tuesday night.  During the mushie stage I brought a box pkg of tuna that has the ritz(evil) cracker tuna and mayo in there and I would mix it up at break and eat that minus the crackers and relish.  It was something easy to throw in my book bag and didn't need refrigerating.  I also brought one of those toddler lunchable things that has deli meat and cheese for when I was on the 2nd week of mushies.

At the store they have cottage cheese with pineapple already in it.  It's really good and just about the right size -- good to take along.  I also will go by Wendys and get a junior burger with cheese, throw away the bun and eat the meat and cheese -- but you'll have to wait a week for that.  You can also have deli sliced ham and turkey -- get a package of that and take it along.  It's salty, but with the amount of water you're drinking and the amount you're probably sweating because it's summer it would probably be okay.  GOOD LUCK !

If you can do it without getting yourself in trouble-peanut butter is a great portable mushy.  They have individual packs, but those are still at least two servings and the lid can't be put back on, so I suggest a jar and some plastic spoons.  If it gets to be a problem for you-toss the jar immediately, it isn't worth it.

I also like sunbutter and almond butter-well really any of the nutbutters, but make sure they aren't a binge food before you buy a bunch, or be prepared to toss them if they become troublesome.

When you move into solids, nuts in the shell are the better choice-they give you something to do with your hands-but not so much in the car....LOL.

If you are really desperate-baby food can get you to the right texture in a portable package....I honestly couldn't eat the meat, but the oatmeal and fruit work ok.
