Was MET!!  ell, basically... with one pound to go, but I can lose that one measly pound and maintain I am certain of it!!  Yay!  So my surgery date is set for September 3rd!  I wish I didn't have to wait so long!!  Anyone have any tips on what I should take with me to the hospital, or what I should expect?  What is the typical length hospital stay for a sleeve?  I forgot to ask that today.  Thanks!!

Well, I don't know what a hospital stay is for the sleeve surgery, but from what I've noticed on here it seems to be overnight.  I would just take something to read, maybe a laptop.  Your own pjs.  Stuff like that.  Congrats on reaching your pre-op goal weight!  September 3rd isn't far off at all!  You'll be on the loser's bench before you know it!

Congratulations! With no compliacations, you should be in over night. I brought my own pj's, comfy clothes to wear home, toiletries, and my laptop. See you on the bench soon!

CONGRATS ON YOUR DATE!! THE TIME WILL FLY BY BUT OF COURSE NOT FAST ENOUGH. I TOOK MY PJ'S BUT I ENDED UP JUST STAYING IN MY HOSPITAL GOWN. I TOOK MAGAZINES BUT NEVER EVEN READ THEM. IF YOU WANTED TO TAKE A LAPTOP I HAVE HEARD SEVERAL PEOPLE SAY THEY TOOK THEIRS BUT ALL I DID WAS SLEEP, WALK, PEE AND DRINK.  GOOD LUCK AND KEEP US POSTED!

Woot woot woot!  That's good to hear.

I think the sleeve is usually over night, not long at all.  You'll do great.

I'd take something to read that doesn't require a lot of thinking-cause the stress/anesthesia is going to make focusing hard.  Ipod fully loaded is the one thing I would not go to a hospital without-no matter WHO is having the surgery.

Congratulations on the surgery date!  That's a biggie!

You'll stay overnight unless there are complications but there usually aren't any.  I took reading material but never touched it.  I had some visitors the night of surgery which helped pass the time and I watched some TV.  You'll be outta there pretty quick!  And, of course, you'll be walking the halls!

Best of luck and keep us posted!

Mainly just loose clothes to wear home, your computer if you want to post.  They'll have everything else you need.  The one thing I was glad I did was take one of their barf bags in the car with me home just in case I needed it.  I didn't use it then, but later it came in handy !!

Congrats that is awesome, I am still shooting for the 3rd I need some serious encouragement though, I had a few pounds come back that are fighting to leave and I'm doing everything I can do get rid of them.  I am just so ready to do this and I cant wait.  Who knows maybe we will still get to share our day.. My mom and I took a laptop, her own pj's and comfy clothes to wear home, along with some confy pillows theres nothing better then your own pillow.  And they released her before the next afternoon.
