Hello everyone who is a loser, I hope to be a big loser some day soon.  I am scheduled for surgery on August 18, only one week from today, and I am so excited but also a little nervous. I have been to two of the support group meetings one of which was last Thursday. I find them very informative and fun.  It is nice to know that I am not alone.

Welcome.  I want to be a loser, too but I'm very slow.  Anyway, we have a good group with lots of fun, smart and wise people.  donna

Welcome, Rosie!  My surgeon was Dr. Walton, too, and I absolutely love him!  I am very happy I had the surgery and I'm sure you will be too after you get through it all.  I don't post much here anymore since school and all the kid's activities are starting back up and I'm working again, but I'm sure I'll see you around the msg boards!  I'll be thinking about you on the 18th.

Rosie,

These girls (and a few fellas), will take awesome care of you.  Ruth, Rita, Kim and a nuber of unnamed "wonder-girls" acted as though I was a family member and treated me with nothing less than nuturing ways and even a bit f "tough love" when i needed to correct my actions....

So ask lots of questions.  Feel welcomed here by these terrific people, and just when you think that you're feeling something that no other person generally experiences, you'll find the group of people in these forums either have expeirenced it or know someone who has.

Hi there and welcome to the group!  I didn't have my surgery with Dr. Walton, but have heard wonderful things about him!  I'm 4 years post-op RNY myself and feeling great... well, hugely pregnant, but great! LOL!  Your surgery is coming up VERY soon~ You'll be on the loser's bench before you know it.  I look forward to getting to know you better through your weight loss journey.  You are definitely not alone!
