mystery of my nausea solved

I finally figured out why I was so nauseous for so long!  My rheumatologist changed my NSAID from Mobic to Celebrex 2 days before the nausea started.  I finally figured out the connection.  I stopped the Celebrex and feel so much better.  My tiny tummy will need some time to heal from the assault on it.  Apparently tiny tummy does not like Celebrex.  The funny thing is I have taken that med in the past with no ill effects.

I am still having hot flashes.  The doctor started me on some new hormone treatment so hopefully that will help.  At least sweating is more tolerable without the nausea.

I am making progress towards feeling like a normal human!!!

Oh, I lost 2 pounds this week!

I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

I'm so happy you are good at self-diagnosis!  Lord knows the medical community was never gonna figure it out!  You have had such a rough road the last few weeks and you deserve so much better than that!

Hopefully you'll get a handle on the hot flashes too.  At least you're on the right track now!

And big congratulations on the 2 pounds!  Your body has been beaten in to submission!  Yay!  You win!

Told you that you should have gone to medical school...

Yahooooooooooooooo!! I'm so glad you got that fixed...There is nothing like feeling like you are going to toss a few cookies every day, especially while working. I do think I could handle hot flashes alot easier than the nausea too. Two more pounds down and never coming back!! Yahoooo! That is great! I think that losing it slower gives your skin a chance to catch up a bit too...You are doing awsome!   Sherry

I am glad you are getting things figured out. I hope the new hormone med works for you as well. I am sure it is a miserable feeling -- especially at work.

Yea Denise!!!!  You really should have been a doctor!  You are an amazing wealth of information when it comes to medical stuff.  I'm so glad you got it figured out.  Hopefully in now time the new hormones will kick in and you will be back to normal.

Denise, I am so glad that you finally figured out the nausea dilema. And just in time for school to start. How cool is that? Hope the hot flashes cool off soon.

Thanks, Anna!  I am slowly sneaking up on Onderland!  Shhh, don't tell my body- it's a secret!  I lose slowly but it IS happening!  Maybe it will help me to have less saggy baggy skin at the end to lose slowly.

I am sooo glad you figured it out and it wasn't a problem with your new tiny friend!  Don't hot flashes suck?  I've had a couple in court and I thought I was on fire !!!!!  Congrats on the downhill slide.  Onederland seems so far away -- but I remember how happy I was when I came into twoterville.  Don't we get spoiled quickly??

I once took a whole bout of unpleasant tests to rule out mystery nausea before we came to a conclusion that it was a drug that doesn't normally cause nausea.  Different drugs effect people in different ways, and before I take in 5 poop samples again I am going to go off any new drugs.....I'm glad you worked it out.
