Yee-Haw!!!

I am on cloud nine tonight!!!  We had an awesome support group meeting and then Happycat and Minime...I mean...Michelle..LOL!  gave me their clothes!  Okay not clothes they were wearing but clothes they had outgrown.  I feel like I just had Christmas!  I am so blessed!  If anyone out there is my starting out size you need to let me know so that I can pass these clothes to you once they get too big for me.  I wore one of the jackets home that Densie gave me and my husband went on and on about how great it looked at said I had to wear it to my next board meeting.  Thank you so much!!!!!  We have such a supportive group here.  YEE-HAW!!!  (Dr. Keller started the whole yee-haw thang!)

YEE !HAW is definitely our new motto! Charlotte gave me a bag full of hers and I could not wait to get home to go through them! I have to clean out my closet and should have a bag full to do the same with next meeting so anyone who needs 24-26 (and maybe even 22 by then) let me know and I will be glad to bring them along!

Last night was a wonderful support group meeting.  However, I don't think I have ever been to one that wasn't wonderful.

Newbies, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE introduce yourselves.  Don't let your weight keep you from fully participating in this group.  we are all dealing with the same issue- excess weight.  We are just at different stages in the battle to beat obesity.  No one judges anyone in that room.  We willingly and enthusiastically welcome all into our insane little family.

It was fun to watch and hear you girls! I was sitting behind you, with my DH. The jacket looked very nice on you, and I was a bit jealous that you were warm in that freezing room. :)
All the way home I thought, "Now why didn't I introduce myself to those gals?"  I realized that it was because I am still allowing my weight to keep me at a distance from people. It's crazy, I know.

Hi, Mary!  I wish you would have said something.  Of course, we could be a little more assertive and look for unfamiliar faces and introduce ourselves as well.  Were you the younger couple behind us or the couple behind them?  I WILL look for you next time!  I was up kind of on the front row with my DH.  We have such a good time and learn from each other at our meetings.  I have friends on OH and at WW like no others.  We all have a common bond, encourage each other and give hugs when they are needed.  We are glad to have you on board!!!  (((hugs)))

Good morning...after a short night I'm using the term "good" loosely here.  :)  I enjoyed the support group so very much last night.  I need that, and dang it I wish I lived closer, I'd be at every support group meeting.  I met some of you, didn't get the chance to meet you all though. 

I thought Dr. Keller's topic was very appropriate, and such awesome insight from some of you.  I related my previous weight loss to what his topic was covering....I'm sure I will go through that again, with the same friend.

I'm envious that I won't get to attend all of the meeting, but I can promise if there's ever a day I'm off work early enough, and don't have to teach the next day....I'll be there again.

Marsha, I was so glad to meet you in person.  I will be praying for you during this time that you have to wait.  I know it's dissappointing.  You might try calling the insurance company as the one lady suggested.  It sure won't hurt anything and you just might be surprised!!  Hang in there and let us know if there is anything we can do for you!!  We're all in this battle against obesity together and we're going to win this time!!!  Have a wonderful day.  Debbie

I laughed when I read "younger couple." We were sitting several rows behind you, behind "debtfree" (she's adorable, by the way).
I don't know how many groups we'll be able to make, as we live several hours away. I don't have to get up to work, but my DH does, and he won't let me make the drive by myself.
