Come out, come out, wherever you are !!!
Rita - glad to know everything is ok - Both my parents are now gone, but I took care of my Dad for 8 months because he had a brain tumor and lost mobility...so, I know what you mean there..
On a lighter note, the no seat belt extension/fit in a plane seat deal, was the best WOW yet for me!!! You will be so excited about that. For me it was a major, major milestone! Hope you have a good trip!

On my way back from New York there was a guy behind me who discretely asked for a seatbelt extender. The stewardess said okay and then went about her work. As we started on the runway he again asked for the extender. She at that point almost yelled out -- sir, I haven't forgotten. I have to use the extender for the demonstration and then I'll give it to you. The look on his face was so sad. I knew how he felt just having to ask for it, but for her to be so insensitive broke my heart. It is a wow moment to sit down and not be pouring over into the seat next to you. I'm still tall enough that my knees are in the seat ahead -- and if that guy wants to lean back I'm in trouble, but not having to try to hold myself in a position that I'm not in their seat, too, is priceless.
I'm sorry about the declining health of your parents. I understand totally. I've had two family members die in my home in the last year and a half. It sucks. But the redeeming factor is you and they both know that you're there for them at this time of their need. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
I, too, just got back from seeing my oldest in New York. It is a recharge -- and a heartbreak to leave her again. Go to a spa while you're there. It's a wonderful relaxing time. You deserve it.

Oh Lyn, the spa sounds heavenly. We will have to do that. That's exactly why I would never ask for an extender. Because, that is exactly what would have happened to me and I wasn't going to subject myself to that. It was bad enough for me just to know i didn't fit much less the whole plane know about it. Those little ole skinny attendents haven't a clue how humiliating that crap is. Someone needs to educate them to be subtle.
