Temptation and ponderings...
1) Ribs are evil and will make you pay! I love ribs - the "demon stomach" don't.
I had one rib on 4th of July and ate about half of it. It did not bother me at all (and the dog I gave the other half to LOVED me for it)
2) I don't get very many people telling me they notice I've lost weight.
At school I have been getting the "Oooh wow you really lost 100+ pounds? comments then a few doubletakes. Thanks about it anymore.
3) I can reach any area on my body now. (and easily!)
No doubt. Nice to be able to wipe the hinie without needing to contort my body like Reed Reynolds (Mr. Fantastic from Fantastic 4)
4) My rings are all getting big and my every day watch is way too big!
I have noticed it in my necklaces. I make beaded and shell necklaces and the two that I made a couple of years ago are now so big on me its pathetic.
5) I feel better when I go to they gym. So why do I avoid it???
I am currently on a committy at college to get the school to allow ALL students to use the 3rd floor gym, not just the Health and Fitness students who don't NEED to work out like I do.
6) I still don't wanna eat breakfast.
I have been making myself eat a stick of cheese or some beef jerkey as i am getting ready for school in the morning. I then get a bottle of water to drink while at school that lasts me til lunch.
7) I'm not obsessed with food anymore.
I still crave certain things but now the majority of what I crave are things that are good for me. Like broccolli and guacamole, and radishes....ooh and homemade greenbeans...AND SALAD!!!!
8) I bought a bathing suit on sale at WalMart and I'm actually kinda excited about it.
I bought some new swimshorts about 2 months ago....they are already too big.
9) I love my new tummy!
I love my pouch.....my tummy is still big to me (aka spare tire big)

Well here are my answers to the ponderings of the glittered one (aka Kim)...
Ponderings...
1) Ribs are evil and will make you pay! I love ribs - the banana does not!
I have never been a fan of ribs so I don't think I'm missing anything here...
2) I don't get very many people telling me they notice I've lost weight. One of the girls I work with told me my butt looked "small" this morning! Yay! I hugged her!
Just wait til you drop even another 25 lbs, people WILL notice... I tell ya, after losing over 160 lbs myself, trust me, people notice and some people I've known for years don't even recognize me anymore without me telling them who I am. It's a good and a bad feeling at the same time lol.
3) I can reach any area on my body now. (and easily!)
Isn't it wonderful to feel flexible?!
4) My rings are all getting big and my every day watch is way too big! Getting jewelry sized down is SO awesome! I went from a size 8.5 ring to a size 4.75 ring. I have TINY fingers now.
5) I feel better when I go to they gym. So why do I avoid it???
You probably avoid for the same reason you did pre-WLS (and the same reason most of us did pre-WLS)... you don't want to feel like people are staring at you and feeling sorry for you... I know, at least, that was always MY excuse. Now I don't mind going to the gym, but it DOES take time to readjust your mindset not to think like you always have in the past.
6) I still don't wanna eat breakfast. Breakfast has always been a struggle of mine as well... I make myself eat a little something, even if it's just yogurt, a shake, or a protein bar.
7) I'm not obsessed with food anymore. Even the 55 dozen donuts they had at work last week didn't phase me! (Krispy Kreme filled - my old favorite!)
Yay for the donuts not tempting you!
8) I bought a bathing suit on sale at WalMart and I'm actually kinda excited about it. Does it look great on me? Hell, no! But it's a vast improvement over the old me. I wouldn't have looked twice at this suit pre-op!
I like swimsuits now... I have 2 bikinis this year and I'm flaunting the preggie belly for all it's worth haha.
9) I love my new tummy!
You'll still love the new tummy in 4 years too... and 10 years... and for the rest of your life! I still love mine at 4 years post op!
