Too much?

I need a little reassurance. Feelin pretty good, just a little sore. I am worried that I could be stressing out my little banana.(that sounds a little wierd) Should I feel something if I drink a protein shake too fast? One of the WW protein drinks and before I realized it was gone. It went down way to easy and way to fast.  Of course I could just be obessing a little.
Thanks and HUGS

My first one went down fast also.  I think it may be the straw, I havn't used one except for with the protein drink.  I have had one more and it went a little slower.  I'm new also just 7 days out, but hope this helps.

I was surprised how easily liquids went down also.  You won't know for certain that you have restriction until you start mushies.  Try to slow down when drinking the shakes if you can.  You don't want one of them making a "return visit".  As long as you are following the food plan you were given you shouldn't worry about hurting your tiny tummy.
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

Cheryl,  I thought that something was wrong when I could drink whatever liquid I wanted to without restriction just after my surgery.  i asked the same questions that you're asking now and I got several responses back, however a few people told me that my nerves had been cut and it would just be a matter o time before I felt them again.

That was the ticket with me.  After a 3 or 4 week period, my nerves suddenly "woke up" and wow, i could feel everything.  The warning is just take it easy, take smaller amounts down the throat, and just know that everything is gonna be fine with all of the warnings that everyone keeps telling you about..... drink water all the time, and take small sips of the stuff.

See ya girl!

Lucky you if you can down a protein shake and not quiver!

I honestly wasn't certain I had really had the surgery until I ate my first mushies, cottage cheese.  Then I knew I had gotten my money's worth!

Don't worry!  The banana is in control - you just don't know it yet!

Yep-what they all said.  Liquids (or liquids with calories) is the achilles heel of WLS....goes right through.
