What exactly is a "real Okie tat"?  *she asks cautiously*

Well, I'm a real okie, but I've never gotten a tat here because it was illegal for a long time and I didn't live here for a long time.  I've been wanting to get some local ink.

My next goal is Onderland!  I have no idea how I will celebrate that accomplishment.  It is so inconceivable for that to be a realistic goal.  Maybe my next goal should be to get my brain to catch up with my weight loss???  I still see the same body as 50 pounds ago.

Denise

I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

Denise~ Only words of wisdom I can offer up here is to take lots of pictures. It does help you to see the difference.  We are ALWAYS the last to notice the changes in ourselves and always our worst critics.  And believe me, I guarantee you don't have the same body as you did 50 lbs ago.

See!  That right there is what I am talking about.  I think we can't even believe the sucess that is happening and we might let these milestones slip by without properly marking the event somehow!  Denise we need to come up with something you can do to celebrate when you hit onderland.  That is a huge accomplishment.  I can't even begin to comprehend that it will happen to me.  So.....what should you do?  A trip somewhere?  Put your picture and bio on match.com?! (well??), ummm maybe we should all take you shopping for a new outfit?!  Or meet for manicures and pedicures somewhere! You should think about it and pick something special you will do so that it seems all the more real and gives you something to look forward to.

Well, I'm 4 years out now... I don't have really any "goals"...  After I have the little bundle of joy in 8 weeks, I'll be making sure I can't have anymore kids (i.e. tubal) and I wouldn't mind getting from 134 (where I am now) to 125.  If I don't get to 125, I won't be shedding any tears, though.  I just want to maintain a healthy weight.  I guess I do have my goal of finishing my 2nd bachelors in Nutrition... it's sort of WLS related, but it's also something I've had a passion for since Elementary school.  Now I just need all the positive thoughts in the world that I can do this with 2 young kids and a husband on Active Duty lol.  Oh, and I have plans for 3 more tattoos (that will bring the total to 8)... but they have been in the works for a while and are all very tasteful, as are my first 5... my mom says that is at least the one thing she can give me credit for on getting them is that they aren't out there flashing in her face at all times lol.

Finishing school is huge and something you wouldn't have done probably without losing the weight so definetly celebrate!  I am actually saving money now each month to go toward a Disney World fund.  As soon as I finish my masters next year I want to go to Disney World.  We are sort of planning this the week after Thanksgiving because it is supposed to be much cheaper and not as crowded.  You look great by the way and if you don't lose anymore who cares, you look awesome!  Maintain that and you have it made!

Maybe we should all pick a date in the fall and set some kind of goal for ourselves and then take a shopping trip somewhere to celebrate.  I know the Heartland Flyer train runs from here to Gainsville and back for day shopping trips.  Of course, I'm not sure how great the shopping is there but it is a thought.  That would be fun.
