I GOT MY DATE, YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

August 28th, I am sooo excited!!  I am also very nervous now, and they have scheduled ALL my pre-op appt's.  WOW, I guess I didn't realize how many there would be.  I also didn't realize I would have to have a filter placed in my neck two weeks before surgery because of my BMI. 

Please know that I am in NO way complaining, just nervous.  I just keep thinking I will be sitting on the Loser's Bench soon and I can hardly wait!!  I see that one of the Meet and Greet dates is set for the 27th.  How fun would that be to get to meet everyone the night before my surgery...I know I can't eat but would LOVE to meet all of you!  Thank you for being here and for all your support...LUV YA!

How exciting!!  I remember being nervous and excited both.  It will all be behind you in no time and on to your new exciting life!

What you are feeling is very normal!  Somehow getting a date makes it very real!  I also kind of freaked when I actually wrote the checks for the surgery.  Wow!  What a surreal feeling!

Good luck.  Try to make the Tulsa meet and greet.  You will need the support of those wonderful local folks on this wild journey.

Yay for getting your date!  I'm so excited for you!  August 28th is just right around the corner and, quite honestly, I'd be worried about you if you weren't nervous.  However, I just know you're going to do great and, from what I've heard of Dr. G, you'll be in great hands.  Can't wait to see you on the loser's bench!

How exciting!  I am looking forward to getting my date, I have only started preop tests this last week and after that must wait 3 weeks for insurance approval, so I will probably be having mine in September, but that is closer every day!
We are starting a support group in Miami, OK as soon as I get through leader training, please join us when that happens.

Congratulations on the date!!!  Hoooray!!!!  The Tulsa peeps are awesome.  Some day us OKC peeps and Tulsa peeps should meet somewhere in the middle and have a Meet and Greet!!!  Good luck to you!!!

Congratulations on getting a date!  It's a very exciting time for you.  Stay calm knowing that you have made an excellent decision and are taking back control of your life!

Congrats to you!  I'm just a couple of weeks ahead of you!  I have surgery next Wednesday the 13th!
