Disclaimer: I am posting this even though I know most of you from the WW group are told not to even think about eating wraps.  That being said...read on.

I have found a new way to wrap up stuff like tuna or chicken salad, taco meat, fajita steak and veggies, etc etc.  These wraps are sold at Wal-Mart (I found them on an endcap).  They have 6 grams of carbs, no sugar, 9 grams of fiber, and 9 grams of protein per wrap.  They are made of wheat, oat, and soybean.  I have had tuna salad in one so far (I cut it in half and ate half and put the other half in the fridge for tomorrow).  I am going to make some fajita meat with bell peppers and onions Sunday and wrap one up to see how it tastes.  I liked the tuna wrap, it was yummy.  Just thought I would share this find with everyone.

I think your surgeon and my surgeon must be really similar, Dan~ I ate a lot of wraps after my RNY.  I still get the Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki Wrap at Subway.  Yummy!   I am going to go to Wal Mart and get some of those... they sound good!

What brand are they?  I used to buy one called Carb Down flat bread or something like that.  They were pretty good!

Don't be so scared of Ruth!  She can't get you over the Internet!  Ha!  LOL!

Mission tortillas come in a whole wheat version, 4 net carbs each for a soft taco sized one.  Not as much protein, but they will do in a pinch if you cant find the other ones.  I usually put a wedge of light laughing cow chz, sliced turkey breast, lettuce and tomato on mine..yuuuummmm...also, they are really good in place of a burger bun if you are wanting something of that nature.

Yummo...these things have become a staple of my diet, even tho I was reborn and raised by the original carb nazi, Dr. Wongsa, lol

I BOUGHT SOME OF THESE THE OTHER DAY IN ITALIAN HERB FLAVOR AND MADE MYSELF A PIECE OF PIZZA. I PUT PREGO SAUCE, LOW FAT MOZARELLO CHEESE, PEPPERONI, SAUSAGE AND MUSHROOM ON IT AND BAKED IT. I DIDN'T HAVE ANY INTENTION OF EATING THE WRAP BUT I TOOK A BITE AND IT WAS SO CRUNCHY AND GOOD THAT I TOOK ANOTHER BITE AND THEN I WAS DONE. I LOVE HOW I CAN ONLY EAT A COUPLE OF BITES OF SOMETHING AND THEN I'M DONE. BUT THANK YOU FOR THE IDEA ON THE PIZZA. I MAY TRY A SANDWICH WRAP SOMETIME.
