I don't have anything to big to report except that I am down 3 more pounds which is a very big deal for me and now I only have 5 more pounds to go.  I'm trying really hard not to eat any carbs and to drink at least 60 oz of water and its helping.  Cross your fingers I'm almost there I hope to be able to schedule surgery the first part of September.  I have heard that Dr will schedule surgery if im a few pounds off as long as its gone by surgerydoes anyone know anything about this and will he do it.

Im getting so excited I cant wait!

Hey Melissa~ Great job on your weight loss!  I don't know anything about how your surgeon schedules as I used a different surgeon and had a different WLS than you are having, but I just wanted to pop in say best of luck!   It's really the refined carbs you want to watch out for most of all and yes you have the right idea on the water intake.  I'm here if you need anything!

Congratulations girlie!  You are almost there!  WeightWise (Walton) let me schedule surgery when I was 4 pounds away.  I was given the usual warning that if I didn't lose it or, God forbid, gained weight, my surgery would be cancelled.  I was highly motivated and came in 5 pounds under target weight on the day of surgery.

Sounds like you are doing well and on the right track.  Please keep going and stay strict because it is so worth it.  It's much easier to stay on track when you have your "secret weapon", the tiny tummy!

Keep posting here when you need help or encouragement.  That's what we're here for!

When I was very close to my pre-op weight loss goal I called and changed my follow up appointment to a pre-op appointment and my surgery date was scheduled right then on the phone! Yes, I was also given the warning that it would be cancelled if I did not reach goal or gained. I surpassed my goal. Keep up the good work and you will be on the bench soon!

I think that you will be able to schedule surgery being a few lbs away from goal; however, I also heard that Dr. B. will cancel surgery on surgery day if you have not met that goal by then or gained by then! You seem to be on the right track...keep doing what you are doing, and as long as you stay away from carbs and drink lots of water, you will lose! Great job on losing this pre-op weight!

I was about 3 lbs off and they scheduled with the understanding that they would cancel the morning of if the weight wasn't off and I have no doubt they would have.  They weighed me as soon as I walked in for surgery.  Dr. B. is pretty strict about it.  I like that they are picky though, it makes our surgeries safer.  You can do it!!  Congratulations on your loss so far.

I was allowed to set a date when I was about 3 or 4 pounds away from the goal.  I also got the standard warning that they would cancel me even on the morning of the surgery if I wasn't at or below the goal weight.  I was not about to be humiliated that way so I was 6 pounds below the goal on the morning of surgery!

Keep up the good work!

Denise

I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)
