Is skipping breakfast bad?
I can't do eggs for breakfast they make me want to hurl. I do a protein bar every morning for breakfast. I eat it at work at about 8:30 or 9:00. I am hungry/empty when I eat it. I lose energy if I don't eat something by 9 am. If I sleep in on the weekend, I feel terrible when I get up...I drink a big glass of water and eat some breakfast...at home I might have cheese and meat for breakfast...and then I am all better. I think they say it is the most important meal of the day because without it you won't be functioning at your best levels energy wise and brain power wise. :o) TAMT....THOSE ARE MY THOUGHTS...I just made that up....aren't I clever...watch if I look at the page that has abreviations and it has TAMT on there...I'll be so embarassed!!! lol!!!
ONEDERLAND!!!! FINALLY!!!! WHOOOO HOOOOO!
I always try to eat at least a light breakfast of granola or cereal, yogurt or something in the mornings... I just don't do eggs... They are not my friend lol.

Okay, I make myself eat breakfast every morning. During all of the pre-op appointments, Dr. Keller is the one who STRESSED the importance of that meal. He said that what your body does if you don't eat breakfast is to start storing calories because it "gets used to" a pattern. So, if you never eat until lunchtime, it "thinks" that it will never get food until that time. That starts the body hanging on to everything it can. He said you won't notice it as much in the honeymoon stage, but if you don't get in the habit of "feeding" your body (Breakfast, lunch and dinner) weight loss will be harder on you once you are out of your honeymoon. He said it better than I did, and for once I listened. I don't know if that's why, but I am over 3 months out and I still (VERY BIG KNOCK ON WOOD) haven't stalled. Anyway, the bad Robyn part of this post is that 3 or 4 days a week, I eat a southbeach protein bar for breakfast. not the best because of the carbs, but it works for me! Just My Opinion.
Kim,
Personally, I really used to like "breakfast food" - but only if I could get it shortly after 2:00AM (wink, wink.)
I have never had much interest in eating anything at all upon rising in the morning, but since I've been going to WW, I have been making a concerted effort to have SOMETHING in the moning besides just my vitamins.
Most days I have string cheese in the car on my commute. I really like the twisted - cheddar/mozzarella - one from Kraft. Sometimes I have a few (4-6) almonds to go with it. ****ep them in the car.)
Good luck sorting this one out. Maybe if you journal for a couple of weeks without and see how you feel and what your scale does... just a thought.

Why not have a small handful of almonds or blueberries? Or a few strawberries? The same ammount of calcium thats in a large orange is in 5 medium strawberries..You don't have to eat breakfast food to have breakfast! My biggest downfall is eating leftover pizza or leftover whatever for breakfast..I was really addicted to junk..I still am but a bit better..
