Anybody heard of these?  Or better yet, anybody try these?  They're supposed to work out your leg muscles as you wear them.  But since they are about $200 a pair, they would have to also do dishes!

So, OH family!  Know anything?

There are a few people here at work that swear by them. I personally wouldn't spend $200+ on them, because they sure are ugly. You can get them on ebay also though.

I splurged and bought a pair when I started walking. They take some getting used to, but they really are comfortable. Yes, they are ugly, but I wanted them more for the comfort than the looks anyway.

Do you think you get a better work-out when you walk in them?

I have heard of them, quite frankly, at this point and stage, all you really have to do is move - do whatever cardio exercise you feel like doing....as you long as you move you are burning fat! Maybe you can ask Somer or Lauren at WW and see if they recommend them, and at what stage. If they work your legs, they are probably working your muscles and you may not want to do that yet.... - just IMO...Anna

Oooh!  I didn't think about that!  Maybe it's too early to think about this...!  Whew!  Dodged a bullet!

The woman who fitted me told me my legs would be sore until I got used to them, but honestly I did not notice that at all. What I still am getting used to is standing still in them because they make you rock. They improve your posture and did notice they helped lower back pain when walking.

I swear by mine-but mind you I have a lot pins in my feet an ankle and I'm willing to pay to not hurt.  The off kilter bottom keeps me from slapping my heal down too hard, which in my case, involves a feeling like a rod through my heel ( because that is exactly what happens).

I don't know if my legs look better because of the shoes or just because I'm moving more due to the lack of pain.

So, I guess it depends on what you want out of them whether or not they'd be worth it.

I have a pair.  Honestly, right now I don't even know where they are.  I never did get used to them.  I'm not sure if it has to do with the shape of the sole or what...  I have Morton's Neuroma in my right foot and it made it flare up really bad.

I LOVED mine. Yes, they worked on my tushie and legs. I can't wear them anymore or I still would be wearing them. I bought plain white, so they weren't as ugly as some. Back pain left in no time. There's one chiro here in town who prescribes them for his patients. I got mine at Nancy's Birkenstock on NW 39th.
