Finally Eating and Fighting Nausea
I'm finally to the mushies stage and have been taking it very slow. I have been feeling nauseous though for about 3 days. I even started back on the phenergan. Do you think it could be because I haven't had a bowel (sorry if it is TMI) for two weeks? I figured because I wasn't eating it was pretty normal to not go. My husband thinks that is why I am so nauseous. What do you guys think? I did take a laxative today in case that is it, but I sure would like to shake this stupid nausea. Heck, I feel like I have morning sickness again (yak). I am getting my 64 oz in regularly but I haven't done any protein drinks (they are just too sweet). I did order some Unjury yesterday to add to my food. Thanks for your help.
I fought nausea for a long time, but the phenergren gel always pulled me through. Try drinking something hot first and see if that helps prepare pouchie for the food. Good luck and welcome to mushies!
I didn't know if I would be one of the lactose intolerant after surgery, so I used SIlk for awhile till I got brave.

Girl, go get yourself a two pack of Fleet Enemas-two weeks is too long.
Ok, because you are likely still sore from surgery, don't aim for the full on enema, just sit on the toilet, get some liquid up your bum and some BM Movement going. (Sorry if that is crude, that WAS my pc version....)
I think 2 weeks is too long too. I bet that's the problem. But I'm not going to tell you to stick anything up your bum---I say be kind to your bum! lol I take a generic Colace every morning and every evening when I take my vitamins. I am taking some Miralax right now! lol My brain will not even let me think about going potty with the current healing going on down there...but it is time!!!! Hope we both get some relief!!!
ONEDERLAND!!!! FINALLY!!!! WHOOOO HOOOOO!
2 weeks = 2 long! After my hysterectomy I didn't go for 2 weeks and ended up in the ER with severe nausea, vomiting, fever, chills, cramps. Let me tell you that pain got worse than the pain from my surgery! The ER trip is not a fun experience, it's one I don't EVER plan on doing again! Please try and take something to help.
Thanks for the advice. I took a laxative pill yesterday morning and some Miralax in the evening but nothing has moved yet. I think you guys are right and that is why I keep fighting this darned nausea. Last night was so bad that I couldn't even eat anything. Hopefully today will be better. I really appreciate everyone's support.
