Visit to Neurologist, Six Flags and other ramblings
Good morning! I haven't been on in a couple of days. Tuesday my sister and I took my nephew to Six Flags...what an eye opener for me. Two years ago when we took him I rode anything I wanted to. I was so humiliated when we got on a ride and the attendant couldn't fasten the safety bar, so I had to get off. Then I was afraid to try to get on any ride. There was only one that didn't work, but I was afraid to try any of them because I didn't want to be humilated again. Later I saw a woman on the same ride who was larger than me, so I wonder if the attendant just didn't try.
Then yesterday I went to the neurologist and he pointed out to me that I am not obese that I'm am SUPER morbid obese. Ok, like I didn't know that...but when he put it into words it made me sick. The way he said it was very negative. Maybe I'm just too sensitive right now...I don't know.
Anyway I am on my way to the hospital this morning. I am having endimetrial ablation and tubal ligation. I am looking for everything to go well. So I'll check back in when I get home tonight. Everyone have a good day.
Hugs,
Marsha

I HAVEN'T BEEN TO AN AMUSEMENT PARK IN ABOUT 3 YRS SIMPLY BECAUSE I WAS EMBARASSED THAT I COULDN'T FIT ON THE ROLLER COASTERS. ROLLER COASTERS ARE MY FAVORITE RIDE AND I WOULD TRY TO FIT IN THE SEAT THAT THEY HAVE AT THE ENTRANCE BEFORE YOU LINE UP. I WOULD SQUEEZE AND TUCK AND EVERYTHING ELSE THAT I COULD DO TO TRY TO GET MY BUTT AND MY GUT IN BUT SOMETIMES IT WOULDN'T WORK. AND THEN YOU HAVE THE PEOPLE FILING BY YOU TO GET IN LINE AND THEY ARE LOOKING AT YOU. I CAN'T WAIT TO GO NOW BECAUSE I KNOW I COULD FIT! YOU'LL GET THERE TOO!
I was like super, super or something like that with a BMI of 54 and 333 pounds at my first consult. You're not alone.
My son's Make-A-Wish trip to Orlando, Florida is where I couldn't fit on 2 rides, and Worlds of fun with my daughter's senior class is where a plastic picnic table cratered when I sat on it.
My vow is to go back to both places for a redo. I get sick and angry looking at my before picture wondering, "How and why the hell did you let yourself get to this point?" I was a fat kid, skinny teen, and fat adult. That is behind me now.
It will soon be behind you, too. ((hugs))

Thanks guys....I have been obese, excuse me, super obese, all my life except for about 4 years, when I was just obese. I loved being just obese. I can't wait to be just overweight. :) I know I am super sensitive to these things, and I would never even try roller coasters before I lost the 200 lbs. with Weigh****chers. It was awesome, and it makes me so angry that I have gained a big portion of it back.
As for my surgery today, I'm doing great. Took me a while to wake up, but I'm up and around and at home on pain pills, which I hate to take, but Dr. G. told me I had to take them every four hours for the first twenty-four hours. Then I could take them at my discretion...so we'll see. It's not that painful, just pulling sensation...you all know, you've had laproscopic surgery before. :)
Hugs to you all,
Marsha
