And this is the first birthday we haven't spent together. I won't see her until Friday. Now that she's all grown up and working..it changes things. I sent flowers to her work place, and I sent this ecard from Hallmark that said

Each Step
From your baby steps to dressed-up in your best... This day is all about you. Wonderful you.

The slide show with the card was pictures of baby shoes and dress shoes. Let the floodgates open.

They are always our babies!!!  Mine is 25 and has gone through so much the last 3 or 4 years.  I'm so proud of her but we always worry about them.  Enjoy the time you have with her Friday!!

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

Funny, I started thinking about this lately...my daughter is only still 14, but time goes by so fast.....it's exciting to see them become adults, but at the same time it's sad! - Anna

My baby starts high school this year and my big girl is is senior in high school!!!  I know how you feel....I see my Dani with one foot out the door...booooo hooooo!  I am soaking up every day with my girls!  She will come home from work at 10:30 and want to talk for an hour or two and I know I should go to bed because I have to get up in the morning...but I just can't.  I love those moments!!!

I think the hardest part of having kids is when they grow up. I couldnt wait for our daughter to move out.. thinking it would calm the house down so much.. no kids bickering.. then she was gone and i was so sad.. she is back home now.. thank god.. oh they bicker and i hate it.. but i know she is okay. that week she was gone was the longest week of my life!

Thanks, guys. We have always been very close. The year I was basically gone all the time with John's in-hospital stays was really hard  on her.

She had to write an essay in college about the most important person/hero in her life. She chose me and got an A on the project. For Mother's Day that year, she typed it in an elegant font on rose paper and had it framed.

We have always talked about everything and anything. Both of my kids know that they can come to me for anything. There was a lot I couldn't talk about with my mom, but nothing's off limits for my kids and me because of that.

I am so proud of both of them, and they are the best things I've ever done with my life. It was really hard watching her get married and it was really hard moving down here away from her. It's been hard on her too.
