Ok, so I will be one week post op wednesday. I haven't eatten anything since last Monday. I am really really wanting to find some kind of liquid that is NOT sweet. I am tired of Jello and the smell of broth makes me want to hurl. Any thoughts or ideas? I am still required to be on the liquid diet for another week and things are looking kind of down. Oh, and yes, I have tried protein shakes (all kinds) and they are awful! Any suggestions would be appreciated.

SF Popsicles,  Flavored waters, hot tea (decaf), diet Snapple. I found a decaf tea in peppermint flavor that I drank warm with some splenda. Keep your chin up. It's only 1 more week to the mushies. You can do it.

I feel your pain.  I am two days away from mushies.  I tried the Isopure but honestly I can't get them down either.  The SF tropical popsicles are wonderful and I ate them the first few days but honestly, I have just drank water most of the time because everything else seems so sweet.  I did eat some strained egg-drop soup yesterday and it was a little sweet but wonderful.  Hang in there and try the popsicles.  They are very good and will help you feel like you are eating.

I TOOK CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP AND DRAINED THE LIQUID OFF AND DILUTED IT WITH WATER AND EVEN PUT IT IN A BOWL AND ATE IT WITH A SPOON. I FELT LIKE I WAS ACTUALLY EATING SOMETHING WITH MY FAMILY.

The liquid stage sucks!!!  The only good thing about it is the weight loss.  I know it seems like forever or at least it did for me.  I thought those 2 weeks would never end.  But just try to get through it one day at a time because life gets so good when you get on mushies!

Please keep your fluids up and don't dehydrate.  I made the mistake of dehydrating and had to go get IV fluids and you really don't wanna go there!
