i felt the same way especially watching husband and son go to town on sonic and other fast food places. i think i even got mad some but when you finally get to eat something you will feel so much better about things. keep your chin up and remember it does get better!

I had a depressive stage after surgery as well.  I blamed it on the fact that I was mourning food and also that anesthesia really screws me up for a while.  I am much better now and it really didn't last that long.  Just try to keep telling yourself that the blues will pass and it will be replaced with excitement and happiness over your weight loss.  Good luck!

Girl, Back away from the food porn shows. That's enough to depress anyone who can't eat. I promise it gets better. However, you will  have good days and bad days. They are mostly good. It's time to find something new to do with your hands, brain and mouth. Now that sounds dangerous, doesn't it? Hang in there, it's all going to be okay.

I agree. No food porn shows until you are past mushy stage! LOL

Sweetie, anyone who's gone what you've gone through is entitled to feel a little down. Hang in there, it gets better when the energy comes back, and you're on solid foods again. You'll be amazed at what you can still eat and that you can still go out to eat with your family and find something you can have. Even Sonic has salad!

We were coming home through Elk City last night, and I have to say I love Hutch's convenience stores. They had the best looking chef salad I've seen next to Johnnie's!
