RNY's....What iron are you taking >6months post op?
I take the Building Blocks chewables for Bariatric patients. It is mixed berry flavor. It is probably on the high side. I buy the multi, calcium and iron from Building Blocks. They are all Chewable and I pay right at $100 for a 3 month supply. When I am a little further out I may switch but for right now it makes me feel better knowing I am taking something that has enough of everything I need.

I don't think what I take will help you but, I take Ferrous Gluconate. It is a small coated tablet (about the size of an M&M.) I pair it wild 500mg of Vit. C to enhance the absorption.
Talk to your pharmacist. He/she should have some recommendations. I LOVE using a community pharmacy so I can get the individial attention I need. it may cost me more in copays but I don't care!

They might look expensive, but they last forever. I bought 2 bottles in March, and I am on my 2nd bottle which is still about 3/4 full. I capful per day. I don't take anything else but the UpcalD and B12.
I use Centrum Chewables ... each contains 18 mg. of iron. (They can be found on sale fairly frequently.)They don't taste bad at all to me. I also take Unicap M on occasion ... they are are a complete multivitamin with 18 mg. of iron and much smaller than other vitamins that need to be swallowed.
