Help!

I am having all kinds of difficulty in locating a support group and a mental health professional in my area that will help me get through the pre-op requirements.  I know it is a long shot, but does anyone out there know of anyone that I could contact in the northwest Louisiana or east Texas area for help?  I have posted on the main board as well.

 Since you plan on having your surgery up here, ask Dr. Brousard's patient advocate for some recommendations in your area.  There is a big medical network the docs tap into.  Let them do it for you.  donna

Okay, speaking for my sister here but she did do that.  I told her to call Julia and she did but Julia told her she had to go to one and to try Monroe but she can't find one.   I have heard all of the details from my sister and I don't blame her for being very frusterated.  It is so much easier for those of us in state.

Hey, Donna is right!  Call Broussard's office.  He is an LSU grad!  Surely he knows someone.  Have you tried looking for a bariatric surgeon from the Louisiana forum or Texas?  There are quite a few listed in Baton Rouge.  I don't know where you live in LA.

She did do that.  Baton Rouge is a day drive and it would just about be easier to come to OKC.  There is only one surgeon in Louisiana and it is way south so coming to OKC would be just about as close plus she has an awesome sister here to care for her!!  Okay, I'm done butting into my sister's post now! LOL!!! Sorry...Denise/Kim, you guys understand, right?  Its a sister thang!
