my beloved scrambled egg!

I just updated my blog about my dinner tonight...

Oh my word, I had the best food in the world!  Randy made the scrambled egg tonight for me.  I was in heaven.  I took Anna's advice (from OK OH message board) and had him put a spoonful of cottage cheese in it.  Then when it was just firming up he grated some fresh colby jack cheese on it.  Ohhhhhhhhhh my gosh!!  I wanted to eat that whole egg so bad but only ate half before I was full.  I ate the half of an egg over a 45 minute time so I ate very tiny (eraser on end of pencil size) bites and paused between each one.  No pucking and it went down just great!!  I know what I will be having for breakfast!

When the weather gets this hot, I eat a lot of eggs beans and cheese.  I can't really keep up with the good/bad cholestral thing, but I get my blood checked regularly and it's all fine, so I guess the eggs are ok too.

Yep, they have now decided that eggs are good cholestral.

That sounds so yummy.  I can't wait until I get to the mushy stage.  I think eggs will probably be my first choice also.

Actually it was not my first food.  I read about so many that threw up that first egg so I waited until my 3rd day of mushies to attempt the egg.  I don't know if that is why it worked so well or not.

Phyllis had told me about the cottage  cheese in the egg. at first i thought gross but i tried it. and liked it.. I am preop but testing things to see what i like ... and what i can pass off to the family.  my son is having fun trying to adapt foods to what i will be able to eat after surg. I will have to try the colby jack cheese in with the eggs and cottage cheese too..

Glad you enjoyed it!

That is a great idea to test out the foods ahead of time....of course keep in mind your taste buds may change some but you can get your family used to some things.  I hate cottage cheese but loved it in the egg.  Weird.

Did you ever think you would go on and on about how wonderful an egg tasted?!?  If you were like me an egg was simply an excuse to have toast and/or bacon in those pre-op years.  I am happy for you that it went down well and tasted good!  Life sure has changed, huh?

Funny you should mention that.  I asked Randy if he wanted a bite last night and he said no...it just doesn't seem right to eat an egg without bacon and toast! LOL!!

I AM SO GLAD YOU HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE YOUR FIRST TIME OUT!! I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO EAT SCRAMBLED EGGS NOW WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM AND I THINK MY INITIAL PROBLEM WAS THAT I ATE TOO FAST. I TRIED SOME DARK MEAT CHICKEN LAST NIGHT AND IT TASTED SO GOOD THAT I FOUND MYSELF EATING TOO FAST AGAIN. I DIDN'T PUKE BUT IT FELT LIKE IT WAS HANGING IN MY THROAT BUT IT PASSED FINALLY. I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW GOOD THE SIMPLEST FOODS TASTE. NEXT WEEK I FINALLY GET SOME VEGGIES AND I CAN'T WAIT!!
