UPDATE ON KAREN

Hi,

Most of you know  about my friend Karen who is battling brain cancer.  She developed blood clots in her left leg and also her left lung and has been hospitalized for the last few days.  She will probably be there for the next week or so.  Next Wednesday, she and her husband  hoped  to travel to Duke University in North Caroling to see if they can offer her anything to slow the progress of the cancer.  However, it does not look as that will be possible.

Her last MRI revealed additional tumors and the original tumors had not shrunk at all even with the chemo and radiation she has had.

Right now the outlook is grim..  Please pray for her, her husband, kid, family and friends.  We all love her very much but things do not look at all well for a good outcome at all.

    I'm so sorry that your friend is going through this.  I hope that she stabilizes enough that she can make the trip.  I pray that she is being kept comfortable.

I have said my prayers for your friend and her family and of course you and your husband. I will continue to pray for you all.

Prayers going up...

Pam, my prayer is that you all find the peace you need and the strength to continue to face this bravely with your friend.  I am sure your support is such a comfort to her.

I agree wholeheartedly with Deb. Unfortunately, I have experience with this because of my Dad. He had metastatic Malignant Melanoma.

They are making great strides every day with things like the Gamma knife..((hugs))
