I am so sorry that I haven't been around to be one of the cheerleaders for all of you going into surgery, but know I have been praying for all of you. I hope you are all doing well and getting back on your feet.
I would like to ask you all to please continue to pray for me.
I have so many things going on in my life right now that are just wearing on me...I need a break through from all of this....No insurance now...not insurable, very sick granddaughter, cardiologist approval, need a job, need a cpap machine, need a stress test...need a miracle!!! Funny how the money is usually the issue...I have the money except for the tests costs,  but can't buy a sleeve!!
Just please keep me in your prayers. Please. Sherry

Sherry, I will send you up an extra prayer today! The financial thing seems to be a major problem for lots of people, me included. I just keep praying. I know it will happen in its time.. And yours will too.

I'm so sorry, Sherry. I have been praying and will continue to keep you in my prayers.

Did you check out the insurance possibilities that I linked to in your post last week? You can be insured through the Ok State High Risk pool and may be able to continue your most recent coverage through Cobra. There are options for you that hopefully you can take advantage of and get things moving forward.

I am pouring out prayers for you.

Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly

You are right.  Money is usually the issue, it is such a shame it is like that.  All the tests you have to go through cost practically as much as, if not more, than the surgery.  I am insured, but my ins. does not cover anything related to WLS.  Being self-pay, I completely understand how you feel.  I worried & worried about how to cover the cost of all of this.  Finally, I just started the process.  I used up all the money I had saved going to dif. appts. & having dif. procedures along the way.  Then, all of a sudden my credit card company sent me a "We miss you using your card" letter.  Attached to it was a check to use as I wished w/ a 5.99% interest rate.  Hmmm, not too bad!  When I called to set up borrowing the rest of what I was going to need, I got another surprise.  They offered me 2.99% instead.  Which was the best rate I could find anywhere.  I'm going to be paying on it monthly just like i would if I bought a car.  I really wish I had the money without having to borrow it, but I didn't & this was the only way it was actually going to happen for me.  If you have a credit card you should call them & see if they have any special offers going on.  I know you are frustrated & down, but don't give up on this.  Things wil get better, & you will find a way to make your WLS happen.  I will definitely keep you in my prayers.

My insurance company would pay for everything except the surgery itself, so I stuck it to them with all the tests and the packing/wound care. I went through private pay financing with Capital One.

Sherry I am praying right now that God will give you peace, that he will direct your path and give you favor with all those involved in your process.  We love you.  Hang in there. -Amy

My grandmother always used to tell me "Let go, and let God"...she was right...in the darkest of times, when I surrendered to the fact that I wasn't in control, He was, things seemed to get brighter...good luck to you, darlin...praying for your situation, and also for the peace of mind for you to accept it.

I'm sorry there is so much going on right now and it's all bad.  I will pray that you get a break - you certainly deserve it.  Please remember that all of us here love and care about you so hang in there.  It will all be worth it in the end!
