Medifast...

I heard about an aggressive diet plan mentioned in another post.  Is that just the medifast shakes/bars and the little red booklet that we buy at Weightwise?  I am running out of shakes/bars and need to order more.  I live 21/2-3 hrs away so I can't run up to WW to get them. Does anyone have any suggestions on alternatives or is the WW brand definitely the recommended brand?
Thanks!!

You can buy the WW products online - they get delivered pretty fast. If you go on their website (www.weightwise.com), you can select the estore and you can get all the products you need from there. - Anna

Aggressive diet from Jess elimates the meal at night. You are on total nutrition store products. I did shakes, bars, chili and sloppy joes on my aggressive diet pre-surgery. I did it to get the weight off faster because I wasn't losing enough with the other.

The latest version of the agressive weight loss diet (at least as of March- April) was:

B- shake

S: shake or bar

L: 3 oz protein, 1/2 c non starchy veggie

S: shake or bar

D: 3 oz protein and 1/2 c non starchy veggie

S: shake

I did not do Weight Wise bars or shakes for most of the "meals".  I used Pure Protein bars, Atkins bars, and when I could handle it I used some whey protein powder to make a shake.

Rita was right, call Jessica.  Have you had your appointment with her or Chris yet?  Chris comes back from maternity leave on Wednesday.  Jessica will be very relieved!

I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

Thanks ladies!!
I have completed all my initial appt's but for the nutritionist appt they scheduled me with the Nurse Practitioner (I guess since they are short handed).  She told me to stick with the plan Happycat (cutie name btw!!) mentioned.  I was thinking of just running to wal mart and seeing if I could find something comparable, but I don't want to risk it if I just HAVE to have the WW ones.  I did look on the estore, but I am already having a hard time enjoying the shakes!  I tried cafe mocha, vanilla and strawberry and I can barely stomach the mocha and vanilla.  I LOVE the strawberry but they are sold out!  ;-(  Anyway I did find the medifast website where you can buy like package deals and get a whole month in one fell swoop.  Maybe I will do that.  I am just getting antsy bc I am ready for surgery!!  ;-)!

Thanks for the info guys.  I may just call Jessica (even though I haven't met her yet!!)

I had the same problem and I talked to Jessica and she told me to go to wal-mart and get the EAS shakes and the zone bars and do the diet just the same just substitute the supplements with those, they taste almost the same and are good.

Wal-Mart has Atkins Advantage that are very similar. I like the fudge peanut granola and the chocolate peanut butter. High protein and low enough sugar to be safe both before AND after.

Jess told me I could substitute with EAS AdvantEdge shakes and Zone bars available at Walmart or Target. Not only are they less expensive, I thought they tasted a whole lot better. I have gotten quite a few people hooked on the Zone bars!

OK great!
I went to walmart last night and got some of the zone bars.  I haven't tried them yet.  I got some slim fast that looked like it had comparable calories.  Thanks bunches for the info!!
