Hello everyone! I'm Marsha. I live in Durant, and am preparing for RNY surgery with Dr. Walton in Edmond. I am currently jumping through the hoops that my insurance company is requiring. I was hoping to have surgery while I was off work this summer, I am a teacher, however due to insurance restrictions it will be around Christmas or after before I get to do it. My niece who is also seeing Dr. Walton is getting ready for hers soon because she is self-pay. I need you guys' support to help me through the next months to keep from getting discouraged. Just reading your posts helps me stay focused. I joined Weigh****chers in 2002 and over the next three years lost 210 lbs. I was at 420 lbs. when I started WW and lost 1/2 of that. I have over the past year gained back 100 lbs. I am so disgusted with myself, and know I have to do something to get healthy again. I know 210 sounds like a lot to some people, but for me that was awesome. I was so anxious to get to Onderland and it never happened for me. :(
I want to get to know you all, and take inspiration from you. I am so excited for everyone of you who have had the surgery and are experiencing what I experienced as I was losing. I'm going to join you soon, hopefully sooner than my surgery, I have the quick start program from Weight Wise, but Idon't think I can stay on that for a long period of time. I am scheduled for the sleep test next Thursday evening, then on Friday I will see the physical fitness counselor, the psychiatrist, and the nutritionist. I'll have all my tests done, just waiting for the insurance.

Welcome Marsha! I am a patient of Dr. Walton as well. He is AWESOME. I feel like my Lap RNY has given me a tool that has enabled me to get my life back. I was like you as well and was on and off weigh****chers and lost and gained and lost and gained. I have actually taken out clothes from my closet now and am not worried about EVER needing them again. It was the best decision of my life. Hopefully we will get to meet at a support meeting. Our next one actually is tonight. If you get to one be sure and come up to some of the idiots...crazy women in the front and introduce yourself. We are so glad you're here. You can ask anything on the boards if a question comes up and usually someone has an answer or has been through what you may be going through at the time. Glad you're here!!! Welcome...Debbie
Welcome to our piece of heaven on the OH site. We are a happy group here!
I am a Dr. Walton patient also. He is a kind man with great surgical skills. You will love the support from his staff.
We all understand the weight regain. That is what got us all to this site and WLS. You will get your secret weapon soon (tiny tummy.)
I am a teacher also. I teach high school special ed (LD, ED.) What do you teach?
