An update on my troubles

Well first off....this week has been awesome!!  I have started losing weight again after going through a phase of losing nothing for like 10 days after I started mushies.  ANYWAYS.....last week was rough for me...I was put back in the hospital for having a stricture, ulcer and dehydration....for those of you who may not know what a stricture is....it is where your scar tissue closes up the opening from your stomach to your intestines.....

I early last week I noticed that I was having a really rough time eating deli meat  which is pretty much what I had been living off of.  I kept getting sick, of course each time I ate and it clogged me up I wouldnt be able to drink anything for HOURS.....I assumed that I was eating too fast.  I called Jess after 2 or 3 days of this and she said I probably just upset my pouch so I had to switch to liquids and if it wasnt better by Friday I was to call back.  So I did liquids for 2 days, everything was fine, until Friday morning I woke up and even the liquids wouldnt go down.  I called the office and they told me to come in immediately.  By the time I got to the office I was vomitting what looked like blood but it was actually bile.  They put me on IV's for fluid because I was dehydrated from not being able to drink and they put me under and did a scope on me...they found the stricture, ballooned it open and in the process they found the ulcer which was caused by the stricture and they also found a pill stuck inside the stricture YUCK!  But either way they fixed me right up and I am doing soooo much better now....they really are great there.  I just love Dr. Broussard and Walton...they are so caring and they just make you feel very special...So since then I've lost about 5 pounds and have gotten out of my little rut.....thanks for listening....

I'm so glad you are doing better.  What a rough go of it for you though.  I agree that they are the best of the best and WW give you the most awesome care!!!  It's good to know we can call anytime and get a call back unlike other places and they will see us right away or walk us thorough a process....  Good job!!

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

Bless your heart. I'm so glad you're feeling better. One of our other members with RNY just had a stricture and ulcer, too. I hope it's smooth sailing for you from here on out.
Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly
