I was still awake at 1:00 a.m. and thought hmmm....it is technically Wednesday maybe I could have breakfast now?!  LOL!  But I was a good girl and waited.  I had about 5 tiny tiny microscopic bites of a piece of cheese.  I mean those bites added up to 1 normal pre WLS bite for me.  I got a hiccup right before I took another bite and remembered what some of y'all said about the full signal.  I quit, waited an hour and started with the water.  No problems at all.  Thanks for the suggestions for Charlestons.  I called them and they suggested I get a side of cottage cheese for lunch.  I don't like cottage cheese but you know, I bet today I do!! LOL!  I'm getting ready to go there now so wish me luck!  Tonight it is refried beans and I will post here and let you know how that works. All you on liquids...hang in there, I feel your pain!!

Is this normal? I probably at 1/4 of a cheese stick for breakfast and maybe 1/4 of one for lunch.  I'm so scared to get too full.  I'm eating refried beans with cheese that DH made me.  He made 1/4 a cup and I have had like 4 babyspoon fulls and I think I am full.  Is this normal or am I just gun shy and not eating enough to get full?

Yeah for you..............you give me hope.  I'm not really a fan of refried beans but I can't wait until th 25th.  I'm goin to be all over those beans.

By the way my mother brought me some Edy's Fruit Bars.  They have no added sugar and only 30 calories a piece. AND.............they are to Die for.  Hope it is ok to eat them, anyone let me know if they are not.

Best of Luck

Karen, that should be okay. Jus****ch the carb count in those. The calories and carbs do add up. You might try alternating them with the sf popsicles. If I am not mistaken they are fairly high in carbs. Just one isn't too bad but they start adding up. They are good. I have tried them but I do try and limit them.

Amy, you are still pretty swollen from the surgery.  As the swelling goes down you will be able to eat more.  At this point I would (and did) err on the side of not enough and not risk foamies or vomiting.  You will figure out how much you can eat over time.  It is a steep learning curve at first.  You will still need to supplement with some protein shakes probably.

Denise

I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

I was thinking the same thing about the shakes.  I am going to try and whip one up with some PB2 so it will taste good.  I will wait till abut 7:30 and try it.  If I could just get about half a shake in I know I would feel much better.

How was the shake with PB2?  I bought some of that stuff and have never eaten any of it.  Shame on me!

So glad you're on mushies now.  It makes life so much better.  I haven't read your most recent posts but I'm wading my way through!

I'm so happy you are getting mushies today! You will be able to eat more when more swelling goes down from the surgery on your tummy. Enjoy every tiny bite!
Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly
