HOWDY EVERYBODY!... THIS IS MY FIRST POST, JUST WANTED TO COME ON AND SAY HELLO TO EVERYONE AND TO THANK YOU FOR KEEPING ME POSTED ABOUT WHAT IS TO COME..I HAVE BEEN READING ABOUT EVERYONE AND ENJOY IT ALOT ....
MY SURGERY IS MONDAY AND I AM SO EXCITED BUT SO SCARED AT THE SAME TIME, BUT OF COURSE THE EXCITEMENT OVER POWERS THE SCARY FEELING... I WILL KEEP YOU ALL UPDATED IN THE WEEKS TO COME, HOPE TO MEET SOME OF YOUR FRIENDLY FACES SOON...............LES
 

Welcome Les! You will be starting liquids just as I am starting mushies! If you can, come to support group on Thursday. I attended the Thursday support group just before my Monday surgery. When I saw all the successful people who had gone before me I knew there was nothing to be scared about and I was not nervous even up to the minute I was rolled into the OR -- HONEST! It has been said many times, but this group really is the best!

Congrats on your Monday surgery~ How very exciting!!  I can't wait to hear the updates on how you are doing!  See you on the loser's bench!

Welcome to our little corner of heaven on OH!  How exciting!  I am so happy your surgery is on Monday AND that you posted over here on the OK board.  Keep coming back, read what we are all up to (we are a pretty zany group!), and post any questions you have.  We are not easily embarassed so feel free to ask any question you have.

It is normal to be nervous!  It would be weird if you weren't nervous.  You are going to do great!

Welcome Leslie!  You'll find this board to be most helpful.  The support group will also be your friend.  I don't like to miss it at all.  Hearing the group tell about successes encourages me so much.  You also get an opportunity to ask questions and voice concerns.  You can ask all you want on our forum to and you will get lots of answers and responses.  We're hear for you!!!

I was so ready for this procedure that I can honestly say I was not one bit scared.  They are WONDERFUL at WW and the staff from the time you walk through the front door treat you like you are so special.  We will make room for you on the "looser's" bench.  You are in for the ride of your life....I now feel like I have a life I can live and not just sit on the sidelines watching.  I'm off medicines, insulin and it's simply amazing....  CONGRATS!!

I AM SO EXCITED FOR YOU!! I WILL BE HERE FOR YOU AND I HOPE I HAVEN'T SCARED YOU TOO MUCH. LET ME JUST SAY THIS.....IT HAS BEEN SO WORTH IT! YOU WILL DO WELL AND WE CAN ENJOY THIS JOURNEY TOGETHER. THEY WON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH 2 OF US AT WORK NOW WILL THEY?  WE WON'T BE ABLE TO KEEP THEM AWAY!!

Leslie - I am so stinkin excited about your surgery. You are going to do perfect. I will be praying for you all day on Monday. I am so sorry I can't be there! Just know I will be there in thoughts and prayers.

Your my bestie and I think we have both made a great decision. I am so proud of you and your accomplishments already. You are in inspiration for me to keep on keeping on.

Way to go, Leslie! Know that you have a phenomenal doctor doing your surgery, and an amazing nursing staff who care about everybody. They're kind and understanding and just great people.

Also, congrats on taking your health by the horns. Everybody is nervous going in. You'll be fine, and we're getting the loser's bench ready for you!
